Rental Terms and Conditions

Acceptance

When we receive a completed reservation form, we will confirm your reservation request by return email with a detailed cost quote. It is the renter’s responsibility to inform us of any errors or omissions on the confirmation form upon receipt.

Deposit

We require a deposit to reserve a bike. Directions for paying the deposit will be included with the confirmation. A deposit of 40% is required in order to secure your booking (full payment required for one day rentals). Payment in full is required ten days before the start of the rental period. In the event that a booking is made ten or fewer days prior to the start of the rental period, the full amount is due at the time of booking. If we do not receive a deposit within that time, the rental will be assumed to have been cancelled.

Final Payment

The balance due is payable ten days before the start of rental period or ultimately when the bike is picked-up at the agency or on delivery. We will require payment of the balance owing for the rental including the delivery and pick-up fees in cash or credit card. If you will not be present for the delivery, payment must be made by calling us during normal working hours.

Cancellation/Refunds

Deposits are refundable provided that notice of cancellation is received 15 days prior to the start of the rental period. There is no refund of deposits for bookings made less than 15 days prior to the start of the rental period.

Delivery

If you have requested delivery of your bike(s) we will require both a street address and phone number. This information should be supplied at least one week prior to delivery. To minimize the possibility of problems with the delivery and to ensure your bike (s) is delivered where and when you expect it, we strongly recommend that you phone us one or two days before the delivery date to finalize and confirm the delivery time and location.

If you will not be present when the bike is delivered and you have not made arrangements for its safe storage pending your arrival, we will return the bike to the depot and a second delivery charge will be levied. Please also ensure that if you will not be present when the bike is being picked up, that you have made arrangements for its safe storage. Please ensure that you have provided a contact number.

Insurance/Liability

Renters are responsible for any damage to the bikes (excluding minor nicks or scratches). Renters are liable for the full replacement cost should the bike be lost or stolen.

In the unfortunate event of a stolen bicycle, it is your responsibility to report this to the police. Please provide a copy of the declaration given at the police station to us.

Locking the bicycle

Locks are available upon request and we highly recommend their use. Never leave the bicycle unattended, unless properly locked.

Repairs or problems during your rental

We provide bikes that are in good working order. If you should have a problem, please contact us and describe the problem and, in the case that we cannot send one of our mechanics to repair or replace the bike (with extra charge), we will assist you in finding a shop so that they can repair the bike for you (with extra charge).
