Hiep Hoa Bac Giang, one of the nine rural districts of Bac Giang province is located in the Northeast region of Vietnam, about 2 hours drive from Hanoi. Hiep Hoa district might not be an ideal place for trekking and hiking. Hiep Hoa district borders to the north with Tan Yen district to the south with Yen Phong district, to the east with Viet Yen district, and to the west with Thai Nguyen province and Soc Son district of Hanoi. The district covers an area of 201 km². The district capital lies at Thang. This is the homecountry of Trang nguyen Doan Xuan Loi of the Tran Dynasty, Doctor Trinh Ngo Dung of the Le Dynasty, Dinh nguyen Nguyen Dinh Tuan of the Nguyen Dynasty.

Hiep Hoa is topographically uneven, with hills and low mountains in some communes in the north, the Red River Delta in the east and generally sloped from the northwest to the southeast.

Getting to Hiep Hoa Bac Giang

The best way to get to Hiep Hoa from Hanoi is to rent a car with driver. You will be picked up at your place in Hanoi and brought to Hiep Hoa directly. The journey takes about 2 hours on road. Those who are on budget can take local public bus from My Dinh bus station, Gia Lam bus station or Giap Bat bus station.
