Hiep Hoa district borders to the north with Tan Yen district to the south with Yen Phong district, to the east with Viet Yen district, and to the west with Thai Nguyen province and Soc Son district of Hanoi. The district covers an area of 201 km². The district capital lies at Thang. This is the homecountry of Trang nguyen Doan Xuan Loi of the Tran Dynasty, Doctor Trinh Ngo Dung of the Le Dynasty, Dinh nguyen Nguyen Dinh Tuan of the Nguyen Dynasty.
Hiep Hoa is topographically uneven, with hills and low mountains in some communes in the north, the Red River Delta in the east and generally sloped from the northwest to the southeast.
Getting to Hiep Hoa Bac Giang
The best way to get to Hiep Hoa from Hanoi is to rent a car with driver. You will be picked up at your place in Hanoi and brought to Hiep Hoa directly. The journey takes about 2 hours on road. Those who are on budget can take local public bus from My Dinh bus station, Gia Lam bus station or Giap Bat bus station. The annual sunshine hours of 1,500 to 1,700 hours is good to grow tropical and subtropical trees. The average wind velocity is 2.1 metres (6.9 ft)/s and the average atmosphere pressure is 757.71 mmHg.
Since Hiep Hoa is located away from Vietnam’s eastern coast and the East Sea, the incidence of hurricanes and storms is rare, although whirlwinds and hailstorms are a localized phenomenon in a few mountainous districts.
